Regarding the Baronetcy of Bruff, that became extinct following the death of Sir Henry Hartstongue in 1797:
C. M. Tenison writes (from Hobart, Tasmania) : " I have heard that a man named Hartstongue, who was a small jeweller and silversmith in Dublin, in the early part of the nineteenth century, was supposed to have a claim to this Baronetcy."
