Noted whilst searching old court records, that in 1823, William Eley I (Grimwade 3101,3111-2,3114,3871) was supplying flatware to Paul Storr (Grimwade 2233-5,3133), It does not state whose mark was placed on these items.
There has been debate on the Forum in the past, as to whether great silversmiths made simple items such as spoons, and this is proberly the answer.
If they were stamped with Paul Storrs' mark, and they proberley were, I'm sure this will be a great disappointment to many collectors.
