JUHO KARI
An image of the Finnish goldsmith, Juho Kari:
Juho Kari was born at Haukiputaalla (Haukipudas) on the 20th December 1880. He completed his apprenticeship in 1901 and and after working at various workshops he became a Master in 1923 and started business on his own account in 1924, firstly at Rovaniemelle (Rovaniemi), and as from 1946 at Ouluun (Oulu), where he worked until his death on the 22nd May 1957.

BRITISH JEWELLERS VISIT UNITED STATES AND CANADA
Members of National Association of Goldsmiths visited Providence, Attleboro, North Attleboro, Plainville, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto, Montreal and Quebec, viewing American and Canadian plants during a three-week trip in 1927.
This image is one taken on the steps of the Employees’ Clubhouse of the Whiting & Davis Co. at Plainville, Mass., where the delegation was entertained at a luncheon given by Charles A. Whiting, president and treasurer of the company.

REVERSED CLOCK FOR A BARBER'S SHOP
The purpose of this clock was to enable a man in a barber's chair to see the clock correctly in the mirror in front of him. The clock was designed and made by Charles L. Proctor, watchmaker in the employ of J. H. Miskimen (Judson Harley Miskimen), Glendive, Montana.
