No not tabacco either.
It is a very local thing, northern Dutch (Frisia).

A 17th century marriage casket (knottekistje). If I understand correctly, it was offered containing coins and jewels, to the prospective bride to accept or refuse. A step up from the traditional knotted cloth (knottedoek).
