Watson Company: Sterling Frame & Glass Insert

Postby Traintime » Sat Mar 06, 2021 2:03 pm

Ok, for search engines I'll go with the crowd and say the default Bride's Basket. But it carries the "J17" alpha-numeric code rather than one of the more common four digits. Might it have specifically be produced as a jam or jellies? The glass does fit well, but is nicely thick with a smooth, but lipless, safety edge finish. TIA

One book on silver displays a similar sample from, IIRC, Gorham and classed it as a "sugar basket".
