What is this?

HELLO

What is this silver piece? I imagine there would have been something going into the middle hole.

Measures 9 cm wide & 6 cm tall.

It’s hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 but makers mark is too far gone to read but perhaps it might be Henry Matthews?

Hi,
This looks like a mount from a cut glass bottle. The pierced part would have wrapped around the top of the bottle, the hole is for a stopper and the lips are for pouring from. They are typical on scent bottles but as yours has pouring lips it could have been from a decanter.
