What was this silver piece used for? I suppose it’s similar to a inkwell holder but since it doesn’t have a inner ring at the bottom it couldn’t of been used for that.
The makers mark J W is upside down in relation to the other marks which are London 1897.
Is the maker Joseph Walton? the W has a pellet underneath.
Measures 6 ¼ cm tall & 5 cm wide.
