What was this set used for?

Postby niceguy1 » Mon Jun 09, 2014 8:04 pm

HI

What was this strange boxed set used for? The 22 Cm long spoons are both hallmarked silver JBCO which look quite similar to the mark of Julius Busse that is mentioned here

But what were these used for?

THANKS

Hi Niceguy,

Agree with JL, they are often Far Eastern in origin and are usually described as sippers or straw spoons. They have the lucky charms attached, presumably, so that the drinker can identify their own particular glass.
