Is this a meat skewer? With finger guard? Stumped.

We have dealt in sterling of all types for many years, but finally found a piece that stumps us.

The hallmarks: O.B in a diamond * .925 in an oval * Delta (triangle) in an oval * k in a square-with-rounded-corners. It appears to probably be out of Birmingham, but the O.B maker's mark brings up nothing on a search. Any help to be had there?

Overall each is about 3-1/4" long. The guard part is about 1-3/4" long and a little wider than 3/4" at the widest point. One of the picks is more square-shaped without marks and one is round with .925 in an oval * k in a square-with-rounded-corners. That ones also has the word "Patent" engraved on it.

The marks indicate Birmingham, but probably as an import. We can find nothing to identify the maker/importer who used the hallmark "O.B" as a help.

Our best guess is maybe this is some sort of meat skewer/pick with a guard to keep your fingers clean? Or are we completely off base and it's something totally different?
Any help that can be given is greatly appreciated!

Wow. Such a fast result to solve our mystery! I did try to search your site but that particular post was not one I opened... of course.

Anyway, thank you for your help.

We look forward to participating in the site again -- perhaps as a contributor to answer someone else's question some day. :)

We'll hold you to that, and look forward to your contributions.

Hopefully someone else can come up with the name of the importer.
