Kappa PHI Omega Alpha Knights of Pythias?

I never thought of posting gold badges here, but Trev's posting put this in mind, and the one that follows.



It is a pin that belonged to C.A Terrell a Southern Veteran of the Civil War from Alabama. Nothing on the back. It looks to be mid 19th c. It could be a Knights of Pythias badge, as the Phi could refer to the legend of the Phoibades. The knights had triangles in triangles but not the same size. Otherwise I am stumped.

Cleveland A Terrell was wounded at Chicamauga in 1867. He was a pharmacist in Uniontown, Alabama, and Knights of Pythias were in that part of the country, so the connection does fit. Hope this helps some.

I am sorry, but I forgot to say I have another much later K of P badge, he was president of a chapter.
