What is this silver piece? it's hallmarked for London 1987 & makers mark is CB in a square. it's inscribed Snowdon which i presume is for the Snowdon mountain in Wales.

It could be a mini shot glass holder and part of a portable mini bar liquor cabinet, perhaps to enjoy a little ‘shot’ at the top of Snowdon.
