I bought these from goodwill and have been trying to find out what they were used for and maybe period they are from. I can make out the marking on the bowl as being kayserzinn but can't find anything esle about it. The other thing I don't have any idea what it is. It has a angel blowing a trumpet mark with the initals H.K. I thought it was maybe a candle holder with a tray to catch the melted wax. Here are pictures of the two and markings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I'm afraid these are not silver, but pewter items. Photobucket links do not work for many people, but from your desription, Kayserzinn is the German company E. Kayser, and HK the Dutch company, H. Kamphof.

Please remember in future postings that only one item per topic is allowed.
