Please help to identify this Fish Slice.

Hello,
This is my first post so please excuse me if it looks incorrect or my photos do not appear.
I went to a few garage sales yesterday looking for hidden treasures and found this lovely piece.
The owner explained how it has been the family for many years passed on down from her Grandmother.
She had no other information on it. I've spent hours on the Internet doing research, and have come to learn that it is a Fish Slice. I cannot find any engraving that resemble the fisherman or handle styles that seem to match this or resemble it. There are no marks on it anywhere that I can see (even with a magnifying glass). It measures 12" in length. I believe it to be sterling silver based on coloration. I would really like to know where it may have come from, the period that it is from and any history behind it.

the yellow you see on last picture is base material shining through the silver plate. With no hall marks my theory is almost sure correct. Silverplated upon brass.

The fisherman i a fine decoration - have not seen before.
Age around 100 years (1880ties onwards)

Thank you Hose_dk for your reply. The brass theory is probably correct. When I look at opposite side of handle it shows more yellow tint also the piece is quite heavy (I do not have a scale to get exact weight). Do you think this might be a Dutch piece based on the fishermans cap?
