Gucci object

Postby smosher » Thu May 20, 2010 3:29 pm

I purchased this item at a charity auction and have no idea what it is, or even if it's actually silver. However, it has shined up beautifully as silver, with a mirror finish, so I believe it's at least plate. I've researched "Gucci" but see nothing like this associated with the famous company of this name.
It measures 4 inches from the top of the stem to the bottom of the "fruit" or "garlic" or whatever it is.

Can I be the first to suggest that it is something to do with olives. The handle does resemble an olive leaf.

Thanks for the idea!

That's not something I ever would have thought of. Maybe something to put the pips in?

My thoughts exactly. There are some places who frown upon those who spit them onto the floor!

Yes, even in Brooklyn we can't get away with that! :)
