A very fine example, is it in burl? The pattern reminds me of the Dagda version.

Hi all.

Omar Ramsden (1873-1939) reinterpreted many ideas in historic silver.
He was well known for this form that he revived from the Middle Ages.

The central boss is engraved and enamelled with the arms of the Goldsmiths Company.
The chased decoration includes eight crowned leopard heads.

The name of this bowl comes from an old German word Ma'sa', meaning a spot, in reference to the spotted grain.
