Hi Chris,

I presume the mark is on the baseplate, if so I guess its been applied back to front in error. Are there any other marks anywhere?

Thanks Dognose-

I was trying to figure out why it was backwords also. My question is what is it, is it a candle holder? looks like a lamp, but its to old for that.

Muddypluka-

How big is this item? I do really like it, it has a lot of character. It would make a great night light; that is as long you use a lamp base that fits into it with out damaging it, like the ones that have a cork base used in bottles.

Regards- Byron

Sorry to post again so soon; I forgot to ask what type of metal do you think it is?

hi byron
the item is 150 milimeters tall and the diameter of the base is 65 milimeters

i think its way to small for any sort of light,

the hole in the top of the petal type stick is only 10 milimeters ,

as for the metal id be inclined to say it was silver but there are no markings so i really have no idea it does clean like silver with the rub of a finger but im no expert,
