'Cereta' is the pattern, introduced in 1902 and manufactured by Oneida, it was a short-lived premium from The American Cereal Co., only available by sending in coupons found in Quaker Oats and Pettijohn's products, and their advertising...

Did not thing the story of these cutlery would be that interesting. Trading in coupons found in cereal to obtain such beautiful objects. They seem to have a very thick good plating.

Good morning
Thank you for all these interesting information into a new subject for me. So these really are a very high grade of silver plating, higher than triple plate. Though at first they were solid as they are so nice and heavy to hold.
Will the spoon be a cereal or table spoon worth 20 or 30 cents and 4 coupons :-)
Thanks

Hello, this spoon would appear to me to be just right for breakfast porridge. It is said to be 16 centimetres long .
Interesting patent date "Jan 02" agreeing with "Dragonflywink's" statement but also there is a pictorial trade mark. Does it belong to Oneida?
