REED & BARTON KNIFE: PATTERN?

Postby madoad1 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 2:03 pm

Greetings!

I have a Reed & Barton chldren Knife, but I can't find the pattern. The mark it's no so clear, but it seems to be from an early period. I hope somebody help me identify the pattern and if it is possible, the manufacturing year. Thank you!

Hi - welcome to the forums. This was not a full-line pattern, suspect it never had an assigned 'name' - I've only seen it in the youth/child's set, believe the spoon has a cat and the fork a rabbit. Dating would most likely be late 19th-early 20th century, though Reed & Barton did reintroduce it in silverplate, much later in the 20th century.
