Another Stieff Pattern for Identification

Looking for the name of this pattern please, also its purpose. I've seen this type of scoop or spoon in the past, but if I ever knew what its purpose is, I've forgotten. Many thanks in advance.

The pattern is Rose and is not to be confused with Stieff Rose. It is an infant feeding spoon and was introduced post 1950's by Stieff, and I'll let anyone that is interested in learning more about this piece have a look at thestieffcompany.com site. It's a terrific site, and if you're like me, don't fail to check out all the links. They contain the information that I missed about this spoon in my first couple visits. I had to get help through the contact e-mail address on the site.

These spoons were made by LENOX under the KIRK STIEFF COLLECTION as late as MAY 1999. At my site, THESTIEFFCOMPANY.COM under the patterns section.. scroll down.. to the chapter on these spoons. There, farther down is a photo of a spoon made in May 1999 with a date stamp on the package. Those dies lasted a long long time. They still had the STERLING STIEFF on the back 19 years after the change to Kirk Stieff and then Lenox.

Thank you! I'd seen them around for a long time, but just didn't know for sure exactly what they were for. I've kept mine. Who knows maybe somebody folks will once again appreciate the design.
