Gorham citrus spoon

Postby AccentDesigns » Fri Oct 08, 2010 1:22 am

Any suggestions for the name of this pattern will be appreciated:
It is .925 sterling, it is 1874 Gorham but I have been unable to locate a pattern name.
After weeks of searching, I found just one photo of this pattern but that person also did not know the name of it.

I am sorry that a couple of the photos blurred when added. I will try to resubmit them at a later date:
I just wanted to add, my research indicates that this pattern type is described as an "applied pattern", the fruit on the vines appear to be raspberries. I have found similar designs by Tiffany and other makers, so far no luck with Gorham.
I located one collector who has stated that he has been trying to identify this pattern for nearly twenty years; He said that there are four different patterns described in old Gorham ledgers, for the date period in question; the pieces were indicated only by their utinsel style and the silver weight of each . They are identified only by numbers and dates. A collection of several different pieces in each pattern would be necessary to match them up with the weights.
