A modern American “fantasy” pattern

Hello

Please scroll trough »925-1000« pattern identifications collection: http://www.925-1000.com/pattern_menu.html

But I think, you wouldn't find it there - because it seems to me, to be a modern interpretation of fantasy, for servers only = not a "full range" pattern.

It’s best for a salad of fruits - or vegetables as well.

Please, if possible look to find out the maker's mark; and let us see that one.

Kind regards silverport

I cannot find any maker's marks on them. They originated from Baltimore, maybe Kirk?

I guess it’s not »Kirk«

Hello

I guess that this salad server set isn’t made by »Kirk«.

Also the place of buying is today for reason of our »mobility« for the job, holiday’s … very seldom a possible indicator for place of items origin. English items scattered in the British Empire; Immigrants of Continental Europe tuck items of remembrance with them to some where, like the Americas, South Africa, Asia …

It happens nearly never, that items of already long time established and important producers, like e.g. Gorham, Kirkaren’t marked! Reason therefore is that at least the commercial department knows the priceless »advertising« value of a struck maker’s mark. Also their wholesaler or their retailer (sponsor) knows this.

So, why they all are shouldn’t use this priceless »advertising« value?

Your servers are maybe made by a company or workshop, who is specialist for servers only? Who maybe produces a lot of different servers, e.g. from sugar tongs to pastry servers … for wholesaler or shop-chains …

In Continental Europe existing maybe thousand company’ and workshop, specialised in servers, like e.g. napkin rings, cake, pastry and salad servers, coffee spoons … E.g. the so called »Hildesheimer Rose« pattern has in Germany about 80 producers and about 10 wholesalers — only a few of the producers don’t mark, for reason of to be suppliers only.

So I guess, only by incidence the maker and the pattern of yours servers would become known.

Kind regards silverport
