ID Flatware (Towle?) Pat. 1917

Postby gjh42 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 6:12 pm

I have a large set of sterling flatware which I have not been able to identify. The maker's mark is most similar to a Towle mark, but there is no other identification on it, and I have not found the pattern in a Towle catalog online.
The butter knife is the only one I could get a clear scan of; the rest are marked on the stem (from the bowl up)
925/1000 (<-sideways) STERLING <mark> PAT. 1917

All are engraved "F".

I would appreciate any information you can share about these items.

Well, I feel kind of silly now... I found it in a replacement site. It seems to be
Lady Mary (Sterling, 1917, Monograms)

The pattern was discontinued in 1996.
