Navajo ?? Hallmark Identification - B. Webb
Posted: Fri Oct 30, 2015 7:02 pm
I just picked up the attached bracelet. The hallmarks on the back are "sterling" and "B. Webb" Does anyone have information regarding "B. Webb"
I am not able to locate the silversmith in "hallmarks of the southwest", or able to Google any information regarding the maker using a variety of search parameters.
On eBay, there are approximately ten cuff designs by "b webb" that show up and are regularly identified as Navajo, however, none of the active/completed listings provide any additional information. All of the auctions are for "used" items and show various levels of condition.
While the cuff is not hand worked, it is still a very nice piece of work. My assumption, is the work is still southwestern US origin made in recent years (post 1985) , however, not available anymore.
I have tested the bracelet and it is sterling silver.
Thanks in advance!
JT
