Help identify 800 coin inside an arrowhead.

Postby krisbwhitt » Thu Feb 04, 2010 1:24 pm

This cuff bracelet looks fairly old but I can't figure out the maker's mark. Enclosed with an arrow is coin 800. The bracelet has many different designs on it such as arrows, feathers and a bird or thunderbird with arrows and a cross on it. I'm not sure what the stone in the center is either. Help....I'm clueless.

This is most likely a tourist piece, not Native American made. NA artisans tended not to use the symbols we associate with them, like arrows and teepees, on their own pieces.
Some tourist/trading post pieces may have had a Native American artisan work on them but many were made by non-NA.

BTW, are you sure that says 800? Coin silver is 900 silver only.
