Unknown hallmark on Native American Style Earrings

Postby williams2008 » Wed May 20, 2009 12:01 pm

I have a pair of sterling silver earrings with inlaid stones. They appear to be native american style. I am not familiar with this hallmark, and would like to see if anyone recognizes it.
Here is a picture of one of the earrings...

Thank you in advance!

Hello.

That is probably Navajo silversmith and designer Tracey Knifewing.

My reference does not say when Tracey Knifewing was active.

I've been researching this mark and it seems to belong to Ray Tracey who had a company named Tracey-Knifewing Jewelers with a partner named Knifewing.
I don't find any reference to a person name Tracey Knifewing except sales sites that I suspect have their info wrong.
I see this mark on current Ray Tracey piece, no mention of Knifewing still being involved.
