Ok ot sure of its origins but it is marked IC with them running together.And what are those stones I can't remember the name
any info appreciated
it was heavily tarnished too

Hi Jcm-

I do not know who IC is, but the stone looks like it may be natural sleeping beauty turquoise, from Sleeping Beauty Mountain Arizona. I do not know for sure though, It is a very nice piece.

Not sure this mark is hers, just offering a possibility.

I am not familiar with this maker or her mark, but in this genre, exact matches are often difficult because the maker's initials are sometimes composed of separate stamps and their placement will vary.

ok I see,You mean as in the i and the c would have been 2 different stamps?
But it is native american or Hopi? I would guess so as th edesign.would you also agree that it is sleepin turquise or what would you say?

Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Pueblo etc.. are all Native American tribes.
They are possibly separate stamps.
I know little about turquoise, but in the last quarter of the 20th century, a lot of imported and color treated stones were available and used in Southwestern jewelry. I don't know if yours is one of these or a natural stone from a local mine.
