Peruvian silver plate, identity of maker's mark?

Postby bah0503 » Fri Jul 13, 2007 6:32 pm

Hello,
We are trying to find any information about a silver plate made with a Peruvian 1832 8 reales coin in the center. The back of the plate is marked
"Peru plata esterlina 925" and the name of the maker appears to be "Kohler" with a mark that looks like a bird in flight. Any information is appreciated.

Can't really help you with the plate, but I have a bottle opener from the same silversmith. My parents and I lived in Peru when I was a little kid, so we got it in the late fifties, early sixties (1960's, that is).

I'll post a picture of it.

I haven't been able to find anything on Kohler.
