Brazil flatware mark help needed

Could anyone help with this please?

This mark is on a small platter that came as a set with an ornate coffee pot and was purchased. or given as a gift, in Brazil in the early 1960's but could have been purchased elsewhere. Although the two items appear to match and have always been displayed together, I cannot find the mark on the pot. The pot is in a "turkish" style and has a crescent on top of the lid.
