Does anyone know this maker JL , appears to be American Coin ....

I can only offer a couple of possibilities.

John Lynch (1761-1848), Baltimore, Maryland. I believe he worked from c.1786 to 1848. He used many different marks over the years.



John Burt Lyng, New York City. Believe he worked from c.1761 to 1785.
