ornate ladle, mark possibly M & S

Post by SMBruce »

I have gone through this site's marks plus those of silvercollection.it, with no luck.

This spoon/ladle is less than 8 inches long. See the closeup of the mark—I interpret this as M & S (with the M and S in circles and the & in a marquis or diamond shape). Possibly the M could be an H or a W.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like Hotchkiss & Schreuder Syracuse third quarter of the nineteenth century.

That's great, as a cocktail guy, first thought was that deserves a nice punch bowl to call home!

Here's the link: https://www.925-1000.com/americansilver_H3.html

And adding word Coin for the search machine that makes this all run so smooth.
