USA Colonial Mystery Spoons

I have 2 coffee spoons that seem to be USA Colonial circa 1780, yet the hallmarks are so mysterious as to possibly point in another direction, the initials are S*P in the monogram cartouche of a bright-cut old English pattern, looks like a slightly crude copy of an English coffee spoon with the bright-cut engraving, I will work on getting these images so they can describe it better. :::
