Postby jason » Mon Oct 02, 2006 7:26 pm

Hi

I would be so grateful if anyone could help identify a trio of dessert spoons I have marked T BAKER with what appears a Lion Passant and a Head facing right . Is this American coin silver?

many thanks

Ensko IV shows a Thomas Baker of Concorde, New Hampshire, whose mark matches yours, beginning 1819. The other marks are not shown but are typical of American pseudo-hallmarks of the time mimicing the British true hallmarks.

I believe SilverSurfer is correct. Here's some more info on Thomas Baker.
