Coin Silver Salt Spoon Deer/Stag Hallmark

Postby dw171 » Sun Feb 18, 2018 5:21 pm

I need help identifying the hallmark on this spoon. All that remains is a deer/stag hallmark. There may have been more to it, but its too worn to tell. Any help is appreciated.

I am sure that I am wrong but I figured I would bump your object forward with a dumb thought on your spoon. Your spoon looks very American to me and that 900/1000 is definitely American but the Deer mark looks like the mark for the Polish city of Dobre Miasto. I am certain that this is not a Polish spoon though as everything about it screams mid to late 19th century American. I am hoping this sparks some more interest in your piece because I would love to know who made it

Will be interesting to see if we end up with a daisy-chain of lost "Hattie"'s: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=52541
