HD Coin Silver Hallmark

Hello. This is my first posting. I am trying to identify the following mark, and have exhausted several references. The mark follows the same pattern as Albert Coles, with three parts: A oval containing an eagle standing on a base (or holding a banner) which appears to have the initials NY; a lozenge containing the initials H D; and an oval containing a male bust facing left. The mark is found on a cake saw, nicely engraved, but without any markings for coin.

Hello, KJ. I believe I have found a reference to your marks. The marks are attributed to Henry David, a New York silversmith working 1846-49. His residence is listed as 8 Little Green St. from 1846-7. Interestingly, Albert Coles’ residence is listed as 6 Little Green St. from 1835-49. The two, most likely, knew each other. Perhaps there was a little artistic collaboration between them?
