Attached is a notched spoon that I think is Silver, but not sure if it is coin or Sterling Silver. The hallmarks on the back of the spoon appear to be Old English type letters P C P, but are not very clear. I have not been able to find any American makers with this hallmark, so I am hopeful to get information here as to the maker, Sterling Silver (?), Coin Silver (?) or even Silverplate (?). I would also like to know what this spoon was used to serve. Is this for vegetables or noodle soup so that the notches grip the noodles? Does this look familiar to anyone?
