PGP PBP mark spoon ID

Postby maxbernat » Wed Jan 28, 2015 1:14 am

I found this lovely spoon with a twist handle and bright cut decoration. It has no marks except the what looks like PGP or PBP in cartouches in the stem just above the bowl. Can't find anything about them. I'm not even sure this is silverplate. It came with a bunch of early-mid 19th century American coin silver pieces. Any help appreciated.

Hi,

That's the work of Peter G. Perdriaux of Philadelphia.

Wow, what a fantastic resource this forum is! This makes perfect sense, as I am in Philadelphia! I take it then that this is coin silver? Best,Kent
