Hi.
Can anyone tell me anything about this maker? I know Gregg is a south carolina maker but the mark doesn't match.
Thanks so much

Hi ~ welcome to the forums. Suspect this spoon is more likely European, moving it for some different exposure. Bit rubbed on those second and third letters, personally, not sure I read 'Gregg' or 'Grigg' - perhaps 'Gergg' or 'Gorgg' ?

4 May 1835 William Grigg's will appears to have been proved in New York City. The will was signed on 18 April 1825. William Grigg's estate was left to his wife Helen. A niece Phoebe Rainetraux was to inherit the estate if Helen had passed away prior to William Grigg's death. William Grigg also left one hundred and fifty dollars to another niece Phoebe Stout. Jacob Stout and Anthony Rainetaux were the Executors.
