DBH & Co Spoons * 1833-1837 * Three Others.

In short, I picked up a bundle of silverware wrapped in masking tape with a $12 tag for all. Inside, there are 11 spoon silver spoons from four different makers. Here are the ones I have identified as DBH & Co (DB Hammond & Co) circa 1833-1837.

Can anyone tell me more on these?

It is now suspected that the mark is D. B. Hempstead & Co, based on pieces with a Georgia provenance.

This is not expected to be the last word on the subject, but I can say that none of the U S Census's from 1820 through 1880 for Georgia list any of the parties mentioned in association with DBH & Co with the exception of Daniel Hammond.

I agree it is D.B. Hindman & Co.

The hallmark does match perfectly with the one provided here in www.925-1000.com.

Thank You for the replies everyone. I am still not believing I found these, and the others posted, for
$12 at an area Goodwill. I have some knives which I think are also from the period but have not been able
to identify their pattern.
