c.1790 Silver Tongs, WB

A pair of c.1790 tongs, very long, with a crest and the maker's marks WB. Any clues?
Surely these tongs are too late to be William Breed.

Miles, I know it has been a long time since you posted your request and wondered if you had ever been satisfied with your tongs being William Breed. The alternate marks for him here ( http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.anc ... /55792.htm ) shows your mark perfectly and there doesn't seem to be any question as to their attribution. I am rather envious of the tongs and would love to have such an early pair. Roger
