Are My Spoons Marcus Merriman?

I have six of these coin silver spoons. They are marked "M.M" inside a rectangular cartouche. There are what I thought were pseudo English hallmarks flanking the maker's mark. I thought this might be the mark for Marcus Merriman, New Haven CT. However, the mark doesn't look quite right. Any thoughts? Thanks!
