Need Silver Maker info for a Spoon

I have a friend that asked for help regarding a spoon,[table use, NOT serving use]. It has a MAKERS MARK, but I have been unable to find ANY information, which really bugs me!!!! Spoon has normal sized bowl with wide upper handle. I assume they are circa 1800's, but really can't find any info on it. Any maker/pattern information would be greatly appreciated.

As I believe you may have already learned on another forum site, the mark is that of the spoon's retailer, William Thompson, who had a watch and jewelery shop in Raleigh, NC c. 1850.

(1) William H Thompson appears in the 1850 U S Federal Census for Raleigh, North Carolina as a jeweler with his father William who was a cabinet maker; (2) W H Thompson appears in the 1860 U S Federal Census for the Northwest District of Wake County, North Carolina (Raleigh Post Office) as a jeweler; (3) William Thompson appeared as overseer of penitentiary in the 1870 U S Federal Census for House Creek, Wake County, North Carolina; and (4) Wm H Thompson appeared in the 1880 U S Federal Census for House Creek, Wake County, North Carolina as a watch maker.
