sterling 950

I purchased a vanity set, mirror, comb, hairbrush and clothes brush. The only mark on each of the pieces is "sterling 950". Does anyone have any idea where I should start to find out information on dating these pieces? Thank you.

Often appears on Japanese silver, most likely post WWII.
