Iraqi teapot

Hi, Can anyone give me any further information about this teapot? I do know its from Iraq pre 1900 because it belonged to my great grandfather who traveled the world quite a lot. I would be very interested in finding out the meaning of the ingraving and a possible date. and how can I tell if its solid silver or silverplate? it doesnt appear to have any hallmark.
