Hi, I inherited a ring which was my grandfather's wedding ring, I would love to know more about it. The markings are as follows
WH- I believe this to be the maker, can anyone tell me who they were?
9- the no 9 in a box- what does this mean?
.375- does this mean 9 ct gold?
An anchor- I believe this means the ring was made in B/Ham so this should narrow down the identity of the maker
U- the letter U in a box. I believe this signifies the year of manufacture but the only thing I know about the age is that the ring would have been a wedding ring and the wedding was in 1936
I would very much appreciate any guidance you can give me
Best wishes
James
