help on age of ring!!

Hi, ive had this ring handed down to me a few years ago in unsure of what the ring is.
Can anyone help with the age, make ect.

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
Your image (upside down) only shows a partial mark. It only reveals that the maker is most likely to be Sydenham Brothers and the date of the Birmingham assay of 1878.

Hi,
Yes it should have marks to indicate the carat standard, but it looks like the ring may have had a repair or been resized.

I know its rose gold but that's it .how would i find out .
