hello, my friend has a pocket watch,there is 14C on the back case .someone said it is gold .that mean 14K gold .but someone said it is plated gold ."C" mean plate . please tell us ,is it gold or not ? if it is gold ,please tell me which country mark and period ,thanks

14C is not a hallmark for gold but perhaps could indicate 14Kgold-plated or 14Kgold filled.

I would recommend posting more pictures of the watch, as I don't think the mark will tell you the answer on its own.
