Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Is this the only mark?

I`m afraid it is the only mark really struggling with it i hope someone can shed light on it.

Thank you for the welcome.

Hi,

I wondered if it was a date mark, it looks a good match for London 1730, but I would also expect there to be other marks and would be surprised if they had worn away, leaving just this one.
Have you had it tested? In the period 1575-1798 there was only one standard, 22 carat. If it turned out to be anything less, then this thought can be dismissed.

I can only guess that it is a date mark but honestly there are no other marks as to hallmarks of any kind. it really is the only identifiying feature

Hi,
The ring itself is an identifying feature, an image of it may tell us much.
Thanks, Tom
