Help with dating and maker?

Hi, I'm new here, last week I was given two pieces of my grandmothers jewellery, one is a silver dragonfly brooch with the initials JA&S with the anchor-lion-and the letter r . The second is a silver "mother" brooch with the initials GAR the anchor-lion and letter t. Can anyone give me the date of the pieces and makers please? Sorry I can't provide photo, camera is not good enough! Waiting in hope. Thanks
