help with maker mark

does anybody know anything about the maker mark MD

You might have to be a bit more specific.

this piece also has the walking lion and an anchor the date mark is very hard to read it could be an a or b. I did find the name Matthew Dixon as a poss. maker. the piece is a watch chain that also has an anchor locket on it. I will try to post pic later today. Thanks for any info.
