I bought a bracelet with amber. It has a very unusual set of hallmarks.
First, rectangular - only digits 925.
Second, also rectangular - letter G, 925, the head (looks to the right).
Third: head in the circle.
Fourth - apparently, the brand of the firm - something like a stylized letter ii.
I've never seen such hallmarks.
I will be grateful for any clues.

So, Sterling Gdansk after 1986. Now can we explain the (right facing 1963-) "Re-marking on silver" head stamp useage? Is it used to re-verify quality on older era silver with prior marks?

I have the same question.
It is interesting that Gdansk hallmark looks more newer that "re-marking".
Why?

I take it your "Fourth" mark is actually the first mark (far left). Perhaps a better photo of #'s 1 & 2 (from left) might explain the "Re-mark" mark? Don't know why they would mark it a third time after 1986. Not an expert..just study photos, search the threads, and try to make sense of what is oddball.
